To celebrate 70 years of the VW Transporter, Volkswagen are planning a summer celebration in Germany.
In 1947 Bernardus Marinus Pon, joint owner of ‘Pon Car Dealership’, sketched a drawing of the Bulli which went on to inspire the engineers at Volkswagen to develop the VW Bus.

The first models were then released and have evolved over the years to the current generation of T6 Transporters. We explain more about the history of the VW Campervan in our latest blog post.
There is a huge amount of love for the VW Campervan and so on the 3rd to the 6th of August, Volkswagen will be hosting the first ‘Bulli Summer Festival’ at the Wolfsburg’s Allerpark, near the VW Factory and the Autostadt.
The event will consist of live music, sport activities, family fun and a show & shine.
